We have enjoyed walking around and getting a little lost in this pretty town. To my delight, Florence is the epicenter of textiles, food, Renaissance art, and all things la dolce vita in Tuscany. It's been 5 years since I was last here, and I've seen it with fresh eyes. It also seems to be second only to Milan in terms of its importance to the Italian fashion industry.
Our meals have been particularly memorable, and this has been the highlight for Nicholas. Thank you Katie for recommending Acqua al due, which we experienced on our first night here - I had the steak with blackberry sauce and it was unbelievable.
