Nicholas' sweet sister, Katie, was proposed to at this very spot in Breckenridge.
Of course, she accepted, and we came to Breck to celebrate with them.
When she and her fiance Bill, an avid outdoorsman, took us here to scout elk at sunset, I'd forgotten my camera at home. I was so gobsmacked by the view that I asked her to drive me back up in the morning before we got on the road.
We came across this little guy on our way back down while looking for a weasel Katie had seen scurry across the road. He's small, but was making quite a screechy racket. Apparently not a fan of the paparazzi.
