How to make marbled paper

Il papiro is a Florentine gem that has spread to New York, Sydney and elsewhere around the globe. But it all started right here, and I always pick something up when I'm in Florence. Their textiles are so pretty, I could spend all day in this shop!

As I waffled on which journal to pick (I ended up with a pretty leather-trimmed one), we were given a demonstration on the marbling process:

Voila! Beautiful papers, made with love from Firenze.

  2. Buona serra Will e Amanda!
We are using a Nikon D-90, I'm forcing myself to shoot in manual mode and if at all possible, without flash to hone my skills (with varied results...). So glad you're enjoying the pictures! I'm having lots of fun taking them. We are staying at an AMAZING farmhouse in Tuscany now - pictures to come - and our place has two bedrooms, it would be perfect for another couple, we would love to return with you guys! xoxo
